Lead UX Designer

Orderportalen 2.0

The need

Forefront needed to enhance its order portal used by employees for purchasing technical equipment. The existing platform lacked user-friendliness and efficiency, causing transparency issues and inefficiencies in the purchasing process.

The assignment

As the UX Lead, I was responsible for:


  • Leading a team of backend and frontend developers, and a junior UX designer.

  • Conducting surveys and workshops with selected users to gather feedback.

  • Creating and iterating on prototypes of the new interface.

  • Regularly collaborating with stakeholders and project leads to ensure alignment with needs and demands.

  • Ensuring the new design met both user and business needs.

ADDED VALUE

  • The redesigned order portal significantly improved the purchasing process, making it more transparent and efficient. Managers could easily monitor and approve purchases, and employees had a clear overview of their equipment, with an option to purchase additional items. The updated system addressed previous issues and enhanced overall user satisfaction for both managers and employees.
