The Need
ASSA ABLOY recognised the need for a unified, user-friendly intranet, Avenue, that would serve as the central platform for internal communication and collaboration across its global workforce. With teams dispersed across different regions, the intranet had to support seamless access to resources, smooth collaboration, and efficient information sharing while addressing the varied needs of diverse user groups.
The Assignment
As Head of UX, I was responsible for:
Establishing the UX Strategy and Foundation
Led the UX design strategy, laying the foundation for a scalable, user-friendly intranet that catered to the diverse needs of ASSA ABLOY's global workforce.
User Research and Prototyping
Conducted thorough user research and developed iterative prototypes, ensuring the platform's design was based on real employee needs and feedback, leading to an intuitive user experience.Cross-Functional Team Collaboration
Worked closely with the Lead UI Designer, developers, and regional stakeholders to ensure the platform was visually cohesive and aligned with the company’s global vision.Adapting UX Design for Global Consistency
